Over the last 20 years, scientists have made significant new discoveries about the brain and the way in which it works. This understanding has profound implications for learning.
Did You Know?
Human beings have had the same brain structure for 60,000 years. It is astounding to think that we share the same basic brain as cavemen!
Even though writing was invented 4,000-5,000 years ago, the brain has not actually evolved new structures for reading. You may not realise that reading is a focussed, demanding task, but your brain has to synchronise between several systems - Visual, Audio and Cognitive - all of which use different frequencies of brain waves.
The act of reading requires all the parts of the brain to co-operate, coordinate and synchronise. To work normally, a series of skills needs to be in place. If one or more stages in an individual's developmental process (from infancy) is missing or poorly developed, then that person will have difficulty with learning and in maintaining attention.
In pioneering The Raviv Method, the founders created a means of bridging developmental gaps, improving co-ordination and synchronisation of the brain activities, enabling people to modify their own brain waves and establishing effective 2D perception, which dyslexics and people with learning difficulties find very hard.
The Raviv Method is a sensory-motor bio-feedback program that can help with different learning needs:
The Raviv Method Practitioner Training Courses include all 4 treatment programmes and practitioners of the Raviv Method are capable and practised in all 4 treatment programmes specified above.
